Introduction

Tell me and your fellow students about yourself: what name you like to be called, your major, your career plans, and what you hope to learn from this course.

I'm Katherine Rosko, but I prefer to be called Katie. I'm a Junior from northern VA and love music, cooking, baking, and hiking. I am an Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies major, with minors in Education and Educational Media. After getting a Master's in elementary education, I hope to move some place warmer and teach either 1st or 2nd grade. Through working in schools and substitute teaching, I've found those are the grades that I enjoy the most. I've also thought about becoming a math specialist/resource teacher in an elementary school at some point. I guess it will really depend on what job I can actually find upon graduation. I've also toyed with the idea of getting another Master's in Instructional Technology far into the future, but we'll see.

Through this course, I hope to learn more about the progression of different technologies involved in information sharing. I also hope to learn some implications of sharing and using information, especially as it relates to laws about using information as an educator.
